Ruby Brown Mist -CRAFT x CAVES 1 - 31 October 2023

Mist: Ruby Brown
Presented by Craft x Caves at Torrens University Chapter House Lane

In Mist, artist Ruby Brown challenges the boundaries of sight, exploring the dance between presence and absence. Her sculptural works meld found objects, fabric, and industrial materials, resisting reason’s glare while delving into notions of value and perception.

Drawing from these concepts, Mist crafts an installation inside a large window on Chapter House Lane, employing window film to manipulate our connection to the artwork within. Views dance like mist on the pane, as translucency and opacity reveal alternative pathways within obscurity, inviting us to question our perceptions and engage with the mystery that arises from disrupted perspectives.

Mist is presented by Craft and CAVES in the Torrens University Chapter House Lane Window as part of Craft Contemporary 2023.
