This exhibition brings together multiple projects developed over several years. Incorporating personal narrative, Yasmin’s visual work distills the familiar to evoke questions about how we come to know, feel, and experience the world around us.
Yasmin Heisler is a Melbourne-based artist whose multidisciplinary practice encompasses photography, video, installation, sound, and text. She completed a Bachelor of Letters at Monash University and a Master’s degree in visual art at the Victorian College of the Arts, University of Melbourne, graduating in 1999. Yasmin has exhibited across various galleries, including Kings Gallery, West Space, White Street Project, Mass Gallery, Ararat Regional Gallery, and QUT. Her text-based work has been featured in literary journals such as Rabbit, Cordite, VLAK, Flash Cove, and SOd Press. Additionally, Yasmin has published two artist books as part of exhibitions: this day at Constance ARI and solo exhibition, formed in air at Anna Pappas Gallery.
